KahuBaby

  • £129.95

I'm really excited about introducing you to our very own carrier, the KahuBaby Carrier! So much time and love has gone into bringing KahuBaby to you - it really is the perfect baby carrier from birth to toddler!

KahuBaby is all about Simple Togetherness. KahuBaby brings you Simple Togetherness in 3 easy clicks.  The secure buckle fastenings, moulded in Italy, make carrying simple for everyone. The comfortable KahuBaby Carrier offers complete support in 4 carrying positions, giving you options for all stages of your baby’s development.

With 4 carrying positions, KahuBaby offers versatility to enable you and your child to simply be together:

  • Front carry
  • Front facing outwards
  • Hip carry
  • Back carry

Suitable from newborn, the KahuBaby Carrier adjusts easily to comfortably hold your baby in an ergonomic position. KahuBaby's unique  cinching mechanism is designed for total adjustability, with a built-in comfort stopper. This means safe and comfortable carrying with babies and with toddlers.

With its flexible waist, Simple Togetherness with your child is just a moment away.

For babies 4 months and younger who may need additional head support, the KahuBaby Carrier features a simple upper adjustor. This is a design feature of your carrier, and ensures that the top of the carrier is a snug fit for your child. We find it easiest to narrow the width of the top part of the KahuBaby Carrier before putting your child into the carrier. Once you've adjusted it for your child, you can leave it in place at that setting, ready for your next use.

The unique lower cinching adjustor makes it simple to face your child away from you (from 5 months onwards) if your child is more comfortable in that position. We recommend facing away from you for short periods (up to 30 minutes at a time), and only when your child is awake. When your baby looks sleepy, turn him/her back into your torso for comfort and security.

Your KahuBaby Carrier in Herdwick Tweed is made from 100% certified organic cotton on the inner and straps. We know that the fabric closest to your baby's skin has not had any chemicals or GMO used in its production or manufacture. The organic cotton is soft on your baby's skin and next to you.

Herdwick Tweed

KahuBaby Herdwick Tweed baby carriers are a luxurious way to carry your baby comfortably and safely. KahuBaby has partnered with Cable & Blake to bring you a range of four stunning baby carriers with a 100% wool, Herdwick tweed outer panel. The inner panel, straps and hood are made from 100% certified organic cotton for you and your baby's comfort. KahuBaby wanted a product that was truly Cumbrian and that epitomised the spirit of the Lake District. Herdwick sheep are hardy, native sheep that you'll see on the Lake District fells. The outer fabric on our KahuBaby tweed carriers is made from Herdwick fleeces, and is woven locally.

The fit, size and features of KāhuBaby Herdwick tweed carriers is exactly the same  as those in our Classic Collection and those in our Jojo Coco Design Collection. The only difference is the Herdwick Tweed fabric on the outer panel of the carrier.

Caring for your Herdwick tweed KāhuBaby

Herdwick tweed is naturally water repellant. To clean your KāhuBaby carrier, we recommend using absorbent paper to remove any liquid spilt. Allow mud or dirt to dry, then remove with a soft brush. Spot clean any food or other marks with lukewarm water.

If you need to wash the carrier, do all the buckles (clips) up, and handwash it in lukewarm water. Air dry inside or outside. Use a very gentle soap. DO NOT wash at high temperature or tumble dry. with a very gentle soap.

We strongly recommend using KāhuBaby teething pads to protect the straps of your carrier. Babies love to chew and to suck, and the straps of your baby carrier are a perfect target! Save yourself lots of washing and prolong the life of your KāhuBaby by popping a pair of teething pads around the straps.
