I'm very excited that Koala Slings is now the distributor for the TwinGo Carrier in the UK and Ireland. This fantastic product has already empowered hundreds of twin parents in the United States, and I'm really looking forward to now being able to offer another baby carrying option for twin families here.
The TwinGo Carrier is the very first ergonomic baby carrier that has been designed specifically to carry twins, or two children of different ages. It can be used as two single carriers, or as one tandem carrier. You can use each single carrier on the front or on the back.
Krystal Workman is the creative mind behind the TwinGo Carrier. She is a twin mum, who wanted something comfortable and quick to be able to go places with her little ones. She realised she had the opportunity to make a difference to other twin families, and set about designing, safety testing, altering, and manufacturing the TwinGo Carrier. I'll share more about Krystal and the TwinGo Story in a later blog post.
The TwinGo has all sorts of well-thought out features - like the zip pockets on both carriers. Large enough to carry a nappy or two, a few wipes, keys and a credit card, but small enough that if you're using the pockets they won't put undue stress onto baby's spine. Rose McAfee, babywearing consultant and sling librarian (and twin mum!) based on Dartmoor, has written this review of the TwinGo Carrier - https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=657389017720720&id=478669818925975 And you can also read an american babywearing educator's review here http://thebrightbeet.com/2014/12/06/twingo-vs-twingaroo/
There's been a lot of safety testing during the design and manufacture of the TwinGo Carrier, because TwinGo LLC wanted to ensure that their product is safe and reliable for you to carry your children in.
The TwinGo Carrier retails at £182.95, including free UK delivery from Koala Slings.
Shipping to Ireland is currently an additional £10, but we're working with Knee to Knee Slings in Ireland, to make the TwinGo Carrier available in their shop later this spring.
